We take seriously the words of Sir Robert Peel who said "The people are the police and the police are the people" We believe in Kawartha Lakes and we know that together we can all work to enhance the safety and security of our home, Kawartha Lakes.

As a fundamental principle of policing, co-operation between the Police
Service and our Community is vital to delivering effective service. As
stated in Sir Robert Peel's nine principles: The ability of the police to
perform their duties is dependent upon public approval of police actions.
Gauging your approval of the services we provide, and soliciting input in
establishing shared priorities, goals and objectives is vital to our
